The following is a list of dates and activities MOM playgroup coordinators have planned for the 2005-2006 year. This is a good chance for new or expectant moms to check us out before joining.
 ** If you are a member of MOM and you have any ideas for outings for moms and kids or Moms only that you wish to invite everyone to, please submit them here with a date that you have in mind, the place and time, and they will be posted, as the calendar will be updated daily.

MOM MOVIES - STARTS THIS TUESDAY, September 13th at 9:30 am. Our "MOM" movie this month is an adult movie. It is THE CONSTANT GARDENER. BOOK CLUB - Meets Thursday September 29th at the home of Marci Lincicome. (for directions, please call Marcie at 295-7855)  The book for this month is Lady Chatterley's Lover, by D.H. Lawrence.  The Country Bookshop has ordered our selection, and you will receive a 20% off of the cover price of the book by mentioning the Mothers of Moore Book Club.  For more information on the Book Club, please contact Allyn at 295-4122 or email at Allyn@mothersofmoore.com

WALKING CLUB - It is time to revive our walking group.  We will begin at 8:30am this Monday, September 12 at the Reservoir Park. For more information on the walking group,  please contact Robin at 949-1149  Here are the specifics:

Time:  8:30am

Date:  Monday through Friday (First and Third Wednesdays will conflict with those of us involved in MOPS.)

Location:  Reservoir Park

-This is located on NC 22(Central Drive) between Airport Road and the Midland Road.

-The loop is approximately 2 miles in length

-The path is a trail - Part gravel, part sand, part dirt

Infant Play Group Information
STARTS MONDAY SEPT 12th!!

The Infant Group Coordinator for this year is Jessica Esmond.  If you need any information about this playgroup please contact Jessica at 295-7566 or email at Jessica@mothersofmoore.com  We have lots of Options this year....so if you can't make one...you can always come to another.

The following is a list of places and times that the Infant Playgroup will meet.

MONDAYS - 9am-??? - Southern Pines "Sandy Park" (this will be Monday meeting place until it gets too cool.  Then we can discuss other options.)  The Sandy Park is behind the Southern Pines Police Station.  If you need directions, please contact Jessica.

TUESDAYS - (OPTIONAL) - 11-??? Southern Pines Public Library.  This is a great place to meet on not so good weather days.  And good if you can't make it to any other Playgroups during the week.  There is a nice big play area in the back with lots of toys.  Excellent choice if you have older children...they can play with the toys, play on the Computer, or read books.

THURSDAYS - 9am-11:00am - Dori's Studio of Dance and Music.  (the downstairs studio)  Dori's is location inside the Sandhills Academy of Gymnastics Building off of Highway 5, on Ampersand Road, behind the Food Lion shopping center.  This is a big room with mirrors and has lots of space for our crawlers.  There are NO toys here, so if you would, please bring some for the babies to play with.  Please keep in mind that these are hardwood floors, so if you would like, please bring a blanket or mat if you have one.

FRIDAYS - Camelot Park - 10-10:30ish (am)  Everyone seems to enjoy going to the park on Fridays, so I thought that we could still leave this optional.  This is not set ups as an INFANT PLAYGROUP, so there may or may not be many people there.  A great choice for the nice fall weather that we are about to start getting.

Toddler Play Group Information  (1-2 year olds)
STARTS TUES. SEPT 20th!!

This group will be alternating between the homes of Jennifer Leslie and Heidi Jennings.  This group WILL NOT start meeting until Tuesday September 20th. The first 2 Tuesdays will be at Jennifer's house, then the alternating will begin.

Toddler 1 (1-2 year olds)  10:00 am every Tuesday alternation houses.  For Directions, please contact Jennifer and/or Heidi.

The following is a list of places and times that the Toddler 2 Playgroup will meet.

TUESDAYS - Camelot Park - 3:30-?? (For inclement weather, Southern Pines Library is the alternate meeting place)  Once the weather starts getting cooler, other meeting options will be discussed.
